We are pleased to announce that the Prospect Heights Education Association (PHEA) voted on Sunday, September 27th and the Board of Education voted on Tuesday night, September 29th to accept a new four year collective bargaining agreement.
Highlights of the new agreement are:
2015-2016 – Teachers not classified as High Wage Employees (HWE) and support personnel receive a 3.75% increase and HWE (earning
$90,000/year or more) receive a 3% increase.
2016-2017 - Teachers not classified as HWE and support personnel receive a 3.50% increase and HWE receive a 2.50% increase.
2017-2018 - Teachers not classified as HWE and support personnel receive a 3.25% increase and HWE receive a 2.25% increase.
2018-2019 - Teachers not classified as HWE and support personnel receive a 3.75% increase and HWE receive a 2.00% increase.
Annual salaries depicted on a salary table showing each teacher’s salary for that year.
Committee work may be scheduled outside the school day if all members agree. Paid at $30/hour if worked after school.
All school days missed to be made up so that students receive a full year of education.
The Board, PHEA, and District administrators look forward to continuing to work together to maintain and enhance the quality of education and fiscal stability of Prospect Heights School District 23 for the benefit of our students, staff, and community.
